Led by: Audra Allen, Emerald Fox Marketing When working with long documents such as SOQs, there are is an art to constructing your InDesign file. This first session will focus on key strategies for creating a well-planned template. Attendees will learn techniques for combining typefaces, learn how to set strategic paragraph and character styles, and cover the basics of document setup.
SMPS San Antonio is excited to offer a new, six-part Adobe Creative Suite workshop series to help hone your skills working with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. During the course of the series, you will by guided step-by-step through creating a new statement of qualification template for future pursuits. Each 90-minute session will focus on a specific element of the template such as how to retouch your project photos and staff headshots in Photoshop, how to create graphics in Illustrator to better communicate data, how to make the most of InDesign’s auto-populating features, and how to combine different typefaces like a designer.
Breakfast food and drink items (coffee, donuts, fruit, tacos, orange juice, etc.) will be provided. The session format will be part demonstration and part hands-on exercises. Attendees are required to bring their own computer with the required software installed. SMPS will be able provide a limited number of computers for those attendees who are unable to supply their own.
